Rudo Mashongera | Zimbabwe

Rudo Mashongera has more than eight years of experience working with human rights and civil society organizations in Zimbabwe. Currently, Rudo is a program coordinator at Hands of Hope, an organization that focuses on enhancing the well-being of key populations. Rudo holds certificates in Community Development, Projects and Programs Monitoring and Evaluation, and Business Management, and is currently finalizing a Development Studies degree. Rudo is committed to ensuring that those in the marginalized lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer/questioning (LGBTIQ ) community enjoys the same sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and other human rights that are afforded to others. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Rudo plans to open the first SRHR hub that will provide quality, human-centered services to Zimbabwe's LGBTIQ community.
